Job Summary
KBR (Government Engineering Services-US) is seeking a Systems Engineer to support Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts for Department of Defense programs in Carlsbad, CA. You will work individually or on a small team. Many of our projects have immediate impact on national security leader decision making options.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop descriptive mission and system modelsIntegrate MBSE tools to support trade studiesAnalysis of alternatives evaluations of mission and system modelsTracking of mission measures of effectiveness and system technical performance measuresTrace related analysis models and results to enterprise tools, requests for change, engineering review board, concept of operations and architecture development, risks, schedule, and verification, validation, & testBasic Qualifications:
This position involves classified work. Such work must be done in a classified facility, either in Carlsbad, California or a government partner location in San Diego, California.
Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering, math, computer science, or other technical disciplineMinimum 2 years of experienceSystems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technologyExperience with NoMagic suite of tools (Cameo System Modeler, Teamwork Cloud, Cameo Collaborator)Intermediate knowledge and experience with System Modeling Language (SysML)Object-Oriented Design and Analysis experience either in system model development or programming languageRequires an understanding of systems engineering and of model-based methodologies Contract requirements will prevailSecurity clearance: Must have an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years relevant experience, but all levels of experience are welcome to apply. Compensation will be adjusted for extent of experience.Intermediate knowledge and experience with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)Knowledge of engineering analysis and analytical simulation tools such as MATLAB, Systems Toolkit (STK), Mathematica, Modelica, SciPy or SciKit-LearnExperience with the development of executable systems models (OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional certification or demonstrated commensurate level of knowledge)Java, Javascript, or Python programming experienceExperience working in an Agile development environmentFamiliarity with DoD and/or ICScheduled Weekly Hours:
40 hours/week
Basic Compensation:
$90,200-205,300
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
