Responsibilities

What you get to do every day:

Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems. This includes the coordination of system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.

Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific engineering projectsDevelops solutions to a variety of engineering problems of moderate scope and complexityPerform systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the endOversees moderately complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management toolsPerforms systems modeling, simulation, and analysisPerforms continual maintenance of security, including backup and redundancy strategiesPrepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projectsMaintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology Qualifications

Education/Experience:

Requires BA/BS or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience5+ years of related systems engineering experience

Required Skills:

Linux system administratorScripting / Coding experience (Bash, Python, etc)

A deep expertise in one of the following areas and working knowledge of one or more of the other following:

Operational support experience

Kubernetes

Ansible

Helm charts

Automation

Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng)

Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Ceph storage platform

GitLab
