The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in DoD sensor collections, orbital mechanics, and mission planning of space-based remote sensing systems. This position will have direct and significant impact on the utilization of an on-orbit system and requires the ability to work with engineers, satellite operators, and directly with the customer.
Essential Functions:
Participates as part of a team of Mission Planners for an on-orbit satellitePerforms analysis of sensor collection opportunities for customer requested eventsCreates technical analysis for customer requested eventsPresents work to multi-disciplinary team and internal/external customersProficiency with MATLAB, Python, or similarCoordinates with engineering and satellite operators on planned collections for an on-orbit satellite.Works in a classified environment, primarily at a customer facility.Qualifications:
