GVI Inc. is looking for an Engineering Technical Specialist (E3) with demonstrated experience supporting DoD requirements to join our team in Norfolk, VA! 

Apply your knowledge as a Engineer Technical Specialist to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Ship Control Systems (SCS) for U.S. Navy submarines. 

A week in the life of an Engineer Technical Specialist:

Review engineering specifications, documents, drawings, and plans,    Review system, software, and hardware test procedures.  Witness Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities.Validate requirements.    Audits of computer software units. 

 

Job Requirements:

Must be a U.S. CitizenBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering discipline. At least 5+ years of experience in computer programmingDesired experience: Familiarity with US Navy submarine Ship Control Systems (SCS) and/or Fly By Wire (FBW).Active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
