A week in the life of a Lead Systems Engineer: 

Administering Microsoft Windows OS and a variety of technologies including, but limited to: VMware vCenter and VMware ESXi Horizon View Site Recovery Manager HPAC Secure Printing HP Servers EMC SANs Administering Microsoft Office 2016 (and newer), Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PKIs Administering Linux (RHEL) systems including deployment and updates Managing updates and software deployments using Microsoft SCCM/MECM Deploying workstation images and managing thin and/or zero clients Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks Performing requirements analysis, requirements gathering, and integration for all platforms  Providing direction and guidance to less-experienced Systems Engineers Investigating and resolving operational problems with other engineering and technical personnel Working on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases within the customer’s production IT environment
