Systems Engineer - Security Clearance Eligibility Required
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced systems engineer to join our simulation industry team. In this role, you will assist in the design, development, and testing of simulation software and hardware solutions for various industries. You will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to build and improve simulation systems that replicate real-world environments, processes, and products.  The systems engineer provides technical leadership and guidance throughout the product development life cycle. Systems engineers perform requirements analysis and track the progress of development. An ideal candidate has the business knowledge and technical skills to implement technical strategies, evaluate products, and provide a superior level of technical support that benefits the company. Must be a U.S. Citizen.  Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks + Supports activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. + Executes the System Development Life Cycle (Planning > Analysis > Design > Implementation > Maintenance). + Communicates and identifies project risks with the Project Engineer. + Provides input to the Project Engineer regarding program decisions. + Implements and supports industry standard processes and procedures to facilitate program objectives. + Creates and maintains system design documentation (PIDS, SRS, SDD) based on analysis of customer requirements. + Presents technical progress following the government milestone review process (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, GAT) + Supports system testing based on analysis of customer requirements and use cases. + Works in a fast-paced production environment with the ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously. + Works as a member of a project team. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.   Qualifications + Completion of a full course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or a related field. Substitutions: Four (4) years of professional experience can be substituted for two (2) years of the educational requirements. + Knowledge of development and utilization of computer systems, computer peripherals, network hardware, operating systems, and computer software. + Knowledge of unit testing, system testing, and acceptance testing. + Knowledge of programming languages and software engineering design patterns is desired. + Experience with Extended Reality (VR/AR/MR) development, integration and test. + Experience with simulation image generator integration and test + Experience with ALM tools + Knowledge of avionics interfaces and motion-based simulation platforms + 5+ years of experience, 7+ years preferred Essential Mental Requirements + Excellent written and spoken communication skills for documentation, intra-team, and interdisciplinary communication. + Able to focus on multiple projects at once. + Organized and detail-oriented + Ability to operate in a high-paced work environment Essential Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
