Systems Engineer - Senior
What you need to know about this position: + Our Information Services department is located in a secure technical center located minutes from our hospital campus and houses a state-of-the-art data center. + The team has a family feel, with a team-goal-oriented staff and remote work available. + As a System Engineer, this team member will need to be available to manage on-site servers and storage devices as the need arises, break fix, projects, etc., and be available to be at one of the CRH Data Centers within 60 minutes. + This role is responsible for maintaining and documenting existing and future environment configurations such as software and applications updates and patches. + The System Engineer – Senior takes a lead role in all upgrades for client server, database and storage environments by planning and performing assigned tasks and will frequently manage or coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. + This role assists with setting requirements and standards for the team and actively coaches junior team members. + The Systems Engineer - Senior is responsible for managing and providing day-to-day operational support for client server, database and storage environments. + This role will also be responsible for maintaining and documenting company client server, database and storage standards, tracking and resolving client server, database and storage-related incidents and requests, working with team on emerging client server, database and storage technologies. + The System Engineer – Senior identifies opportunities to improve support processes, and in conjunction with Manager and Architects implements improved processes across the entire team. + Systems Engineer – Senior positions have a base hourly rate of $43.11 annualized to $89,669. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. + The shift for this position will be 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday with a weekend, holiday and on-call rotation. What is required for this position: + Upon hire, you must have: + Bachelor’s Degree in System/Computer Technology, and/or a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in administration, upgrading and maintenance of medium-to-large VMware and other virtualization, demonstrating progressive capabilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + Management, Tuning, Configuration, etc. + Experience with current Internet Technologies and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, XML, HTTP, DHTML, and Application Servers). + Experience with the following technologies preferred: LRS VPSX, VMWare NSX, VMware Horizon App Enterprise, RDSH, and VDI. + Valid Indiana Driver's license. + Current Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) certification required within 6 months of hire. + Microsoft or VMWare certification preferred. + Experience with healthcare data is strongly preferred. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
