Position Overview

 

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the administration of all platforms in the system landscape.  The Systems Engineer performs installation and support of all new systems, as well as assist development teams and provide technical support for end users.   This position participates in the on-call rotation to support platforms after hours and on weekends.

 

 

What you will do at Insight

 

The Senior Systems Engineer position will have a variety of projects assigned within the Platform Operations Team based both on experience and opportunity to develop new skills.  It is expected that most of the time will be spent resolving complex problem tickets reported to the Help Desk along with routine maintenance.

 

Monitor and correct complex issues in production environment (30%) Respond to requests for changes in the environment from end users or developers (30%) Routine maintenance and performing backups   (10%) Design, install and configure new complex solutions (15%) Code promotion and implementation activities (15%)

 

What you will need to join Insight

 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; and at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Advanced computer experience including computer internals, troubleshooting, installation, operating systems, applications, and networking Experience designing, managing and supporting VMWare technologies Advanced experience or understanding of several elements of Operating Systems, Programming Languages, and Applications Advanced experience in the following Operating systems: Windows 2016, 2019, 2022 and some experience with Linux Excellent scripting skills with and knowledge of the following: PowerShell, Python 3, Bash Amenable to work in a night shift schedule and in Pasig for a hybris set-up
