As the Systems Engineer for Requirements and Verification, you will:
• Perform routine statistical analysis of data gathered from component testing to identify aging trends or other signs of performance degradation and provide prediction of age-out lead-time away for continued operation through the life of the Minuteman III System.
• Determine appropriate test quantities to minimize inferential risks and maximize detection of issues
• Provide results and recommendations to ad-hoc requests in the form of a white paper, memo, etc.
• Present plotted test results to internal and external members.
• Conduct independent research into statistical methods.
• Complete asking relating to reliability, risk assessment and program requirements/specifications
• Conduct research in fundamental statistics and mathematics using statistical techniques applied to test data to discover solutions to problems.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Statistics or Mathematics with significant statistic coursework

• Knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts and processes

• Understanding and/or experience with the following:

• Regression analysis
• Hypothesis testing and analyses
• Sampling methodologies
• Simulation/numerical methods (bootstrapping, monte carlo, etc.)

• Programing with in R and/or Python
• Proficient in Excel

• Understanding of technical research using statistical methods

• Ability to obtain a US Secret Security clearance. US Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Masters degree in Statistics or Mathematics with significant statistic coursework

• Course work/experience with Bayesian modeling

• Experience with engineering/physics

• Ability to define and document solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions

• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors

• Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or disciplines outside of Systems Engineering

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with team members
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
