Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and will support an IRAD program for a physics-based simulation environment focused on satellite operations.

What you’ll get to do:

Develop space system architecture models using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Derive, allocate, update, and maintain requirements and specificationsResearch other modeling and simulation (M&S) systems to define a future integration solutionDefine high-level ConOps that provide a representation of a future integration solutionSupport cost estimation to perform future integration solutionsSupport all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, development, test, operation, and maintenanceMaintain design documentationWork with orbital dynamics; guidance

Basic Qualifications:

BS Degree in STEM with 2 years of experienceUnderstanding of Systems Engineering principles and processesBasic understanding of at least one of: Software, Cyber, or Computer Infrastructure design and engineeringMBSE experience, preferably in Cameo, defining software systems architecture and designAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary team; software engineers, orbital analysts, and test engineersMust have U.S. Citizenship with current or active Top Secret Clearance at time of application must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Current or active Top-Secret clearance with Special Access ProgramExperience/knowledge of test design and automationPrior experience with Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO), Satellite Ground Station Software, Distributed M&S, and/or wargamingExperience in deriving, allocating, updating, and maintaining requirementsExperience in ConOps developmentExperience in PythonExperience in Agile DevelopmentExperience working in an Agile TeamExperience performing systems analysis and design ofAgile/SAFe Features/Epics based on Capability DecompositionExperience with designing, integrating, or operating Simulation and/or Training Software

Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
