As the Navy Tactical / Pacific Systems Engineering Manager (SEM), you will be managing a team of Consulting Solutions Engineers and Architects across multiple accounts and Geographical locations. We bring deep experience and expertise in developing customer relationships and technical solutions needed to help ensure successful Navy missions in the most effective way. We draw on our full-scale suite of end-to-end capabilities to help customers upgrade and modernize their IT infrastructure by providing a collaborative environment in which to develop integrated, innovative services and solutions.

 

What Will You Be Doing?

 

The Systems Engineering Manager’s role is to lead our teams to achieve impressive goals by offering World Wide Technology’s advanced suite of products through multiple OEM’s including Cisco, Dell, HP, Juniper, Pure, NetApp, R, and VMware to name a few.  This leader and manager, in partnership with a talented team of System Engineers and Architects, will build consultative relationships with current and prospective customers while also focus on expanding WWT’s footprint of services capabilities from deployment services to post deployment strategic staffing.  This position will be located in the San Diego Southern California area and will require around 35% travel across the Continental US (CONUS) with the occasional potential for some travel outside of CONUS (OCONUS).

 

Responsibilities:

Manage, mentor, develop and train a team of Consulting Systems Engineers and Architects Build and maintain account level relationships with customers, OEM, and System Integrator (SI) peers. Lead the sales vertical interactions, planning, and execution with WWT professional services, the resource center (SRC), NAIC, Advanced Technology Center (ATC), and Government Services. Support Global Enterprise Modernization Software and Services (GEMSS) and other Program Manager requirements to progress the delivery and utilization of technologies contained within Enterprise Agreements (EA). Lead the account Engineers to drive adoption and best position follow award on for any current Navy EA. Lead the expectations and outcomes for the sales vertical in Executive Briefing Center (EBC) events. Advocate, educate plan and execute WWT capabilities, services, and products (e.g., WWT ChatGPT) to and for your engineering team. Develop and sustain a close, effective partnership with the sales business partner (Regional Manager) for business strategy, relationships, customer engagement, partnering, training, and response to business solicitations. Leverage consultative skills to create new opportunities and gain new customers. Recruit, develop and retain top talent using WWT Core Values and the Federal Solutions Engineering. mission and vison as our foundation to grow. Help team solve conflicting priorities and make timely, effective decisions. Demonstrate strong management skills and drive results within team. Oversee the presales process and help drive effective communication between Sales and Professional Services. Provide technical direction, coaching and mentoring to employees and others to achieve successful short- and long-term outcomes. Develop strong relationships with strategic OEM and SI partners.
