The Mission Systems Operations Contract (MSOC) has an excellent Section Manager opportunity to lead the Operating Systems Engineering section within the Systems Engineering Department. The OS Engineering section includes the following 4 teams Linux, Storage, & Comm; Procurement; Training Systems, & Windows, Firewall, & Monitoring.

Responsibilities include:
• Resource and budget planning for sustaining and new requirements across multiple facilities and programs.
• Supervise technical implementations to comply with program schedules and security mandates. Coordinate technical issues and resolutions across the section and to the user community.
• Oversee technical updates and reporting for critical operational issues.
• Provide support for real-time operations.
• Oversee and manage contract-wide software license procurements to comply with the technical operating plan.
• Sponsor asset management initiatives.
• Perform annual performance evaluations.
• Provide contract evaluation inputs.
• Develop strategic hiring and training plans to target critical areas and expertise with an eye toward integrating skills across multiple facilities.
• Collaborate with all engineering divisions and operations support.

Work & Experience Requirements:
• Demonstrated leadership and/or experience in supervision or management
• Demonstrated Innovative problem solver
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to interact across organizations and all levels of personnel
• Effective handling of multiple tasks and ability to respond quickly to changes
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and customer requirements
• Strong decision making and problem resolution capabilities
• Ability to support a flexible and dynamic work schedule

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college in a related field and normally possesses a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
