Job Description
The Systems Engineering (SE) team works closely with our Project Management Office (PMO) within our professional services organization to deliver business value to our end users, channel partners, and for OTTO Motors. SEs design and implement fleets of OTTO autonomous mobile robots (AMR) and software at our customer facilities. In addition, the SE team delivers training to our integration partners and end-users, and evaluates use cases to establish guidelines, standards, and best practices for how OTTO Motors products can be used by the market, specifically by our integrator network. Furthermore, the SE team is a major contributor to defining our product requirements and is a major influencer of our product roadmap. The role is Hybrid based in Kitchener, ON. You will report to Systems Engineering Manager.
Your Responsibilities:supporting the detailed design, commissioning & integration of AMR systems at client facilities throughout the world; this includes traveling to customer or integration partner facility for on-site deploymentcommissioning, integration & support of mock workflows at our test facility to enable testing of different sample use cases as well as project specific workflowscommissioning & integration of AMR systems at client facilities throughout the world; this includes traveling to customer or integration partner facility for on-site deployment and integration with facility side automation equipmenttroubleshooting software & hardware technical issues using internal tools availableauthoring & executing acceptance test plans for validation of system functionality and performancedeveloping & maintaining reference documentation & tools that help improve the SE team's ability to design & deploy AMR systemsoptimizing system performance through analysis, simulation, and experimentationcommunicating technical details and status to the customer and broader project team;solving new and challenging technical problems related to the aboveauthoring new product requirements based on the lessons learned from your design and commissioning activities;working with the systems engineering team to improve department tools, processes, and working relationships with other departments;support technical set up and optimization of workflow at trade showsdelivery of training to integration partners as well as end usersThe Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree in Relevant FieldLegal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.Ability to travel for business; 45 - 55 % travel commitment over the year (travel mostly contained to Canada and USA).
