The Systems Programming Manager in Windows Automation leads the team in performing research, analysis, evaluation, capacity, planning, design, development, configuration, testing, operational maintenance, protection, and support of Microsoft Windows technologies. He/She researches and communicates new and emerging technologies and influences systems architecture design and development. This position influences the use of industry best practices and available standards, methods, tools, and applications. He/She analyzes, diagnoses, designs, plans, executes, and evaluates operational metrics (i.e., work-to-time, cost, and quality). This position identifies and implements technologies and processes to improve the reliability, efficiency, and availability of the systems environment. He/She performs strategic planning, diagnoses risk and system issues, and takes corrective actions to ensure continuity of operations. The Systems Programming Manager conducts regular staff evaluations, provides coaching and counseling, and is recognized as a thought leader.
Systems Programming Manager may be required to be available for after hours support for critical issues.
Job requirements:
Using proven experience in application development, project management, complex problem solving, and technical knowledge:Manage a team of developers, overseeing Microsoft .NET full stack automation using the Software Development Life Cycle framework and best practices including the use of Lean Agile MethodologiesSet strategic direction for the design, development, and maintenance of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory Automation Platforms, Windows Deployment and Management Platforms, and Windows Edge Compute PlatformsUtilize knowledge and experience with security principles regarding software development, deployment, hosting, and maintenance to guide team resourcesSet team budget and project initiatives to meet business requirementsEvaluate, monitor, and introduce appropriate industry technology to improve automation and UPS technology processesCommunicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels regarding new process requirements, designs, scheduling, implementations, project progression, and deploymentsBachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field and/or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS project and product management experiencePreferred Skills:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,640/year to $216,180/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
