Your primary responsibility is to partner with the sales team and provide technical knowledge around Nutanix solutions to our customers and prospects. You’ll provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and guide prospects through technical evaluations (POCs) which are critical to the deal's success. Additionally, you will work with various teams to resolve customer concerns, escalate product issues, and serve as an ambassador for our brand. About the TeamAt Nutanix, you will be a part of the Systems Sales Engineer team, which is a dynamic and customer-centric group of over 800 technical sales professionals situated across various locations. Our team, based in Colorado, Iowa, and Nebraska, not only identifies tech solutions that align with customer needs but also offers consultative expertise to our sales, partners, and clients. This flexibility allows you to focus on delivering your best work from wherever you feel most productive.Regarding travel expectations, this role involves up to 25% travel time, mainly within your assigned territory and for events-related opportunities. This travel component offers a chance to engage directly with customers and partners, further enhancing your skills and relationships within the industry. Your RoleDemonstrate features and articulate benefits of Nutanix solutions​ to influence customer’s purchases to drive business transformationSize and configure Nutanix solutions​Navigate & build long-term relationships with customers & be seen and treated as their trusted/valued resource​Communicate customer feedback into the Nutanix ecosystem​Partner with sales counterparts in developing account plans, customer persona coverage models and proposal creation to recommend and design solutions based on Nutanix offeringsCollaborate with the wider presales team and obtain technical wins in the shortest and most professional manner  What You Will BringExperience and Skills3 to 5 years in a technical role articulating technology solutions to key stakeholders.Strong foundational knowledge of containers, microservices, and Kubernetes (at least one managed platform such as EKS, AKS, GKE is highly preferred).Advanced virtualization knowledge and/or enterprise application expertise.Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) is a plus.Hands-on technical aptitude, and the agility to adapt according to market demands.Communication and PresentationExceptional public speaking, relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) in English.Ability to tell a compelling story using a whiteboard, presentation, and other media.Problem-Solving and CollaborationAnalytical approach to solving complex problems, with the ability to clearly describe the situation and suggest a solution strategy.Team player with cross-functional collaboration experience.Project Management and ExecutionAbility to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency, and execute detailed action plans.Ability to perform and execute a flawless proof of concept, which at times will require lifting up to 50 lb servers within the datacenter to rack and stack the hardware the proof of concept will be executed on.Personal AttributesA desire to learn, be challenged, and continuously strive for excellence.Highest level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.Additional RequirementsMust be able to travel up to 25% of the time, predominantly in territory and for event-based opportunities. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 165,200 and USD $ 247,800 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
