Systems Security Engineer III

Are you passionate about creating and managing for highly complex systems? Join our team! As a Systems Security Engineer III, you will be using your skills and expertise to design, test, and implement our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. You'll research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our IT security strategy and introduce them to the enterprise.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Must-haves:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 6 years of relevant experienceRelevant work experience such as a Network Analyst/Administrator/Engineer, Systems Analyst/Administrator/Engineer, IT Analyst/Administrator, Software Engineer, may be considered in lieu of required education.Knowledge of technical standards relating to systems security; experience administering UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, experience with large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization and other related peripherals a plusStrong communication skills, strong critical thinking and problem solving skills; self-motivated with ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects; ability to work with people in a team environment and deal effectively with changing project prioritiesAbility to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutionsHigh degree of attention to detailAn active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
 

Preferred:

DoD 8570/8140 compliant: Security+ and/or other equivalent certificationExperience with Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, Dell, Splunk, ACAS, Nessus, SCAP Scan desired
Proficient in an OS (operating system)  Windows or LinuxVMWare ExperienceSecurity +, Network + or other relevant certification

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
