Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of an Systems Security Lead. The selected individual will join a collaborative team environment where they will provide their expertise and guidance. The Systems Security Lead.plays a key role in client relations, and is key to the success of this position is the successful delivery of the project and effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting project status.

Responsibilities Analyze information security systems and applications and recommending and developing security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss.Responsible in leading application and system security initiatives.Provide technical expertise in designing secure public-facing and internal-facing services and APIs.Responsible in authoring, editing, and maintaining design documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration documentation.Detect, prioritize, respond to, and log events affecting services and service components including performance.Notify Government of High Priority events, critical system disruptions, significant incidents, on-going resolution activities, and service restoration status.
Resolve/restore service and service components (e.g., degraded or disrupted service) to minimize adverse impact on business operations.Record, classify, prioritize, appropriately assign, resolve, and log incidents, and report the incident status, including closure, to every customer. Incident resolution may include repairing, replacing, coordinating with vendors, or assumption of functionality by a redundant system.
Identify, monitor, and resolve underlying problems leading to incidents or events.
Develop and deliver recommendations to the Government on enhancing performance and correcting problems. Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering or related Or Four years of related experience may be substituted for the education degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience analyzing information security systems and applications and recommending and developing security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss.
Understanding of, and experience in applying, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications (800 series) on Computer Security.
Experience in vulnerability analysis, security evaluation and testing, certification and accreditation, and incident reporting and remediation.
Experience leading application and system security initiatives and providing technical expertise in designing secure public-facing and internal-facing services and APIs.
Experience in authoring, editing, and maintaining design documentation, standard operating procedures, and system configuration documentation.
Certified Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (CISSP) or equivalent.Excellent verbal and written skills.Must be detail oriented.Able to work independently. About Us
