One of our clients in Burbank, California is looking for a Systems SRE Engineer with the following skills and experience:

Overview

Seeking a highly motivated Systems SRE Engineer with a passion for building innovative solutions. This role is central to supporting a client whose content spans generations. The ideal candidate thrives in cloud environments, excels in automation, and embodies a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering culture.

Key Technical Skills

Cloud Environment Expertise: Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.System Environments: Strong experience with Linux, Kubernetes, and Terraform.Scripting Proficiency: Competence in multiple scripting languages such as Python, Go, Perl, or Swift.

Basic Qualifications

Proven track record of delivering innovative and high-quality solutions.Expertise in system management tools like Chef, Terraform, or Ansible.Familiarity with emerging containerization technologies such as Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.Strong understanding of continuous integration tools like Jenkins or Bamboo.Advanced UNIX/Linux administration skills, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security practices.Passion for technology, continuous learning, and leveraging new tools and frameworks.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent).

Preferred Skills

Intimate knowledge of cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code development.Experience contributing to open-source projects.Ability to operate within lean, agile, and self-sufficient teams.A "cloud-first" mindset with a focus on automation and self-healing infrastructure.Security-focused development and infrastructure processes.
