THE OPPORTUNITY

Recently voted #1 Warehouse Automation Supplier in the world, this is an exciting time to join Dematic as a Systems Support Engineer (Application/Software Support) in Belrose, NSW.  The primary focus is to provide technical support and assistance to our customers with their Dematic material handling systems integrated software.  As member of our customer service team, you will support and implement in-house software applications running on real time systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting of technical issues of Dematic software products and systems

Work with the Dematic Contact Centre in handling support calls and providing regular updates

Participation of project work and commissioning of new systems on our customer sites

System monitoring, validation and regression testing

Update and contribute to the support team Confluence knowledge base

Work autonomously and as part of a team

Ensure all administration work is completed and submitted on time and correctly

Participate in an on-call roster, providing remote after-hours system support by phone and email.

Tasks and Qualifications:

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Engineering, Computer Science or similar disciplines.

Strong analytical, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in predominately Windows environments (2019 & 2022).

Knowledge of and experience with SQL Servers (RDBMS), Data exporting (Excel, SQL scripting) ALP Application Label Printers (ZPL, Imaje, Label Viewer tools).

Ability to use root cause analysis techniques to trace problems to their source.

Candidates with Material Handling Systems (MHS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience (highly regarded).

Knowledge of Powershell (Windows), Python, HTML (highly regarded).

Knowledge of PLC software (i.e., Siemens and Rockwell) and .NET (desirable).

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical and business expertise.

The position may require standby / afterhours support work and opportunities to travel for work both interstate and overseas. An attractive salary package and on-call allowance are on offer, as well as outstanding career opportunities within a growing global business.
