The Systems Support Specialist position is responsible for the availability, maintenance, reliability, and performance of end-user equipment at the Stores, Distribution Centers and Home Office. This position provisions and removes user access to various systems and applications. The position requires flexibility in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing needs and priorities.

Responsibilities Serves as point of contact for employee requests from all areas of The Container Store (Stores, Home Office, Distribution Centers and Customer Solutions Department) in the following areas:Documents, troubleshoots, and diagnoses issues related to desktop, laptop and mobile hardware and softwareProvisions access to myriad systems and applications through Active Directory and administrative interfacesConfigures various types of hardware, including desktop pcs, laptops, mobile devices, and printersTroubleshoots PC peripheral and printer hardware in-person and over the phoneResponsible for administrating VOIP phone systems, MDMs, Microsoft 365 users and other applications as requiredProvides Executive support and maintains audio/visual meeting equipment in conference rooms.Installs myriad types of software by request, as well as researching and testing use of new software on Windows and MacOS machinesMaintains documentation and training for procedural and technical areas of expertiseMaintains current industry knowledge of best practices, development concepts and proceduresProvides after hours on-call support for systems as required by the business on a rotating scheduleConsistently arrives promptly to work the assigned scheduleResponsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer informationPerforms other requested tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or comparable certification in technology, preferredAt least two years of relevant experience in desktop support or related Technology disciplinesBased in Dallas/Ft. Worth areaAbility to travel 5% a year, based on the business needsUse of personal mobile phone with texting ability for on-call purposesAbility to perform training in both a classroom setting and in the moment for coaching opportunities.Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within the organization and with vendor partnersAbility to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or weekFlexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledgeStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at onceExperience imaging desktop and laptop computers with Windows and MacOSWorking knowledge of printer drivers and printer hardwareProficient with computers – all Microsoft Office applications and other Windows-based applicationsWorking knowledge of provisioning user access using applications such as Active DirectoryProven technical and problem-solving skillsExperience supporting users in-person and remotely in a hybrid environment

 

Experience and Skills Preferred

Experience administrating mailboxes and users in Exchange and Microsoft 365 admin portalsMDM knowledge (Workspace One, SOTI, etc.)Knowledge and experience pushing software using various methods or platformsMac hardware and software knowledgeKnowledge of administrating Microsoft Teams phone systemExperience supporting Executive-level users with attention to detailKnowledge of audio/visual meeting equipment
