JOB SUMMARY: Oversees operations of assigned pit area; leads a team of 4 to 10 dealers and dual rate supervisors; reports all pertinent information directly to the casino shift manager; responsible for interviewing, training; selecting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work; directing the work of employees; maintaining production; appraising employees’ productivity and efficiency for purposes of recommending promotions or other changes (evaluations); handling employees’ complaints; disciplining employees; planning work; providing for safety and security; and monitoring or implementing legal compliance matters.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Ensure a friendly, hospitable, exciting and professional environment for the guests to enjoy; lead team meetings (CSA buzz sessions); create a friendly and courteous environment among all employees by maintaining a professional and exemplary attitude and work ethic; maintain security of all games, monies and personnel; respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands; alert to any unusual or questionable activity by employees or customers and take appropriate action to correct the situation within established policies and procedures; monitor the volume and quality of pit business and adjust game spread, labor and table limits as appropriate within established policy.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Pit supervisor experience preferred. 5 years table games dealing experience with 2 - 3 of those years dealing craps preferred. Knowledge of table games, i.e.: blackjack, craps, roulette and specialty games. Must have strong leadership skills with a clear focus on customer service and employee relations as a priority. Strong technical skills in pit operations are mandatory. Must have full understanding of Title 31. Gaming License, Alcohol Awareness Card
