Pocola Craps Dealer Class 

CLASSES ANTICIPATED TO BEGIN ON JANUARY 14, 2025

Description: This class is designed to provide the necessary skill sets to deal Trilux Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold’em, and Craps. 

Job Purpose or Objective(s):  To provide skilled, professional associates to the Pocola Table Games Department.

Pay:

Trainee Pay: $10.00 Hourly Any time spent dealing to guests is paid $6 an hour plus their tip rate.Current Average Hourly Tips: $21.48

Class Description:

This class is comprised of two modules:

Module One: Blackjack & Ultimate Texas Hold'em

Start date: 1-14-2025End date: 2-07-2025Days: Monday-FridayTime: 8:00am to 4:00pmStudents will be provided a one-hour unpaid lunch breakUpon successful completion of the course, students will be able to work on the gaming floor while also attending module two.

Module Two: Three Card, Roulette, & Craps

Start Date: 2-10-2025End Date: 04-02-2025Days: Monday, Tuesday, & WednesdayTime:  8:00am - 5:00pm Students will be provided a one-hour unpaid lunch break 

Passing requirements: 

Selected applicants are required to pass both Module One and Module Two to continue employment within the Table Games Department. Selected applicants are required to pass both written and physical testing.  Two attempts will be provided to each selected applicant.  Failure to pass on the second attempt may result in dismissal from class. Exemplar attendance and conduct. Selected applicants unable to pass the class will be offered alternate employment within Choctaw Pocola based upon conduct level and open position status. Upon successful completion of both modules, students will be provided a work schedule from Pocola Table Games. 

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Table Games Dealer 3 deals all table games (including craps) in accordance to all rules and regulations. You will report to the Table Games Supervisor.

Primary Tasks:

You will analyze customer play, cheating scams, and unusual or suspicious variations of play.Review and communicate table game activities with supervisors and managers.Answer customer or public inquiries regarding general gaming procedures, payouts.Clean work area as designated by managementYou will verify identification of customers when needed.Use computers to enter, access, or retrieve data.Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transaction reconciliations.Sign and date all paperwork.Perform other tasks that may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

Apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions, or conversions)Must be customer-focused and maintain a positive atmosphere and be informative.Hand-eye coordination1+ years of prior experience in direct customer contact and experience handling large volumes of cash
