Job Description HIRING FOR ST TELEMEDIA GLOBAL DATA CENTRE PHILIPPINES

STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between Globe, Ayala and ST Telemedia Global Data Centre (STT GDC).

SUMMARY OF SCOPE OF WORK

Manages and services large-scale 'in-country' data center infrastructure and facilities to ensure 24x7 operations in rotating shifts. Proactive coordination and escalation related to site operational issues and client’s requirements ensuring great customer experience at all times while also taking guidance and complying with STT GDC GDCO policies and standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Handles the day-to-day TAC Operations for STT GDC Makati

Support and ensure smooth 24x7 running of the operations in the 'in-country' data center.

Understands the M&E, security, network and plumbing systems of the building, critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the DC environment.

Documents and updates accurately all requests on the internal web portal ticketing system such as user requests, incidents, provisioning, etc.

Implements best-in-class DC operations based on ITIL and industry practices.

Delivers ITIL compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management.

Ensures effective implementations of safety, security and customer support policies and procedures.

Coordinates and provides support to contractors and vendors as well as inspecting ongoing and completed works.

Plans and supports all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little to no disruption to the company's services.

Participates and supports internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers.

Generates accurate and regular reports as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering / IT Excellent written and oral English communication skillsWith M&E Training and Certifications, Network Certifications, Project Management Certifications  or equivalentAt least 5 years of relevant work experience in 24x7 Data Center or Critical Facility Operations environmentPossess general knowledge of Network Critical InfrastructureGood knowledge in M&E and building facilities-related systems such as CRACs, Chillers, PDUs, UPS, LV/MV Switchgears, DX Cooling, Network, Structured Cabling, Security, etc.Possess relevant facilities management and/or data center-related certifications, such as ITIL, PMP, Uptime Institute and TIA-942Familiar with certifications standards, such as ISO 20000 / 22301 / 27001, 45001, 9001, Uptime Institute, TIA-942Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentGood contractor management and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teamsPrepared to be on 24x7 standby recall to provide extra manpower coverage when necessary
