Tactical Buyer (afternoon shift)

Provide multi-category support assigned by the sourcing lead, coming from main stakeholders.Execute competitive bid events by identify appropriate potential suppliers to fit clients business objectivesAnalyze changing client/market conditions.Interface with Strategic Sourcing Team to implement strategic contracts at a tactical level.Support client specific category strategies.Promote process efficiencies through focus on automated channels.Track and report supplier performance, resolve supplier issues.Stakeholder relationship managementAct in compliance with all relevant IBM business conduct guidelines and client driven procurement processesOptimize supply base opportunities across managed commodities.Support periodic key stakeholder meetings with client to review commodity strategy and activities.Interact with parallel organizations in other geos to assure consistent global approach.Educate and advise clients and suppliers on strategies.
