The Tactical Buyer plays an essential role within the procurement team, by managing the day-to-day purchasing of goods and services. 

\n

This position focuses on the effective sourcing of goods and services, balancing quality with cost-effectiveness. The Tactical Buyer will liaise with internal departments and suppliers to ensure prompt delivery and efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

Purchasing and Order Management:

\n\n Process purchase orders (POs) accurately and efficiently for indirect and direct categories;\n Assist in sourcing materials and services, adhering to procurement policies and procedures.\n\n

Supplier Management:

\n\n Support in maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring timely and quality delivery of goods/services;\n Help monitor supplier performance and escalate issues related to delivery or quality to senior team members.\n\n

Cost Management:

\n\n Help identify cost-saving opportunities through market research and supplier negotiations;\n Keep track of pricing trends and collaborate on opportunities to improve procurement efficiency.\n\n

Compliance and Record Keeping:

\n\n Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contract terms and legal requirements;\n Maintain accurate documentation of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications in the procurement system.\n\n

The ideal candidate should have:

\n\n Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);\n German and English language skills at a B2 or C1 proficiency level;\n Strong ability to analyze spending data, identify trends, and recommend cost-saving initiatives;\n A proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and contract management;\n Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;\n The capability to resolve procurement issues swiftly and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency under pressure.\n\n
