Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Tactical Data Link (TDL) Testing and Certification Program Analyst to join our Joint Interoperability of Tactical Command and Control Systems (JINTACCS) mission, supporting the Air Force Division

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
An Associate’s degree in a technical field (such as engineering, computer science, information technology)At least four (4) years experience applying prior knowledge of Multi-TDL standards (US MIL-STD 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6040, 188-220, and 2045-47001)At least three (3) years recent staff experience (within last 10 years) OR at least three (3) years recent experience (within past 10 years) managing/overseeing Air Force service-level multi-TDL interoperability and certification tests
SECURITY CLEARANCE/LEVEL REQUIRED: US Secret and NATO Secret
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify TDL capabilities and functions that require testing for applicable USAF C3I systemsAttend Technical Interchange Meetings, Test Plan Working Groups, Integrated Test Team Meetings, and Design Reviews to advise USAF program offices concerning its TDL, or other data and protocol implementationsDevelop applicable documentation to prepare for the testing and certification of TDL systems and develop the MIL-STD Compliance Certification/Non-Certification letters upon receipt of the Test ReportLiaise with the system under test program office in all phases of Air Force Standards Conformance and Joint interoperability testsObserve C&I Certification testing and ensure any observed problems are documented. Analyze test data collected and observed during C&I test to validate preliminary trouble reports and determine their operational impactAttend TAG meetings to provide technical support regarding interpretation of multi-TDL standards, operational procedures, and operational impact of identified problemsParticipate in Joint test planning and the development and coordination of Interim Certificates to Operate (ICTOs), as requested. Participate in the Interoperability Steering Group (ISG) meetings to support their assigned systems.Attend the Joint Analysis Review Panel (JARP) meetings to provide technical support regarding interpretation of multi-TDL standards, operational procedures, and operational impact of identified problemsProvide technical TDL expertise to support the development and integration of TDL into Air Force platformsProvide operational solutions for the implementation of TDL products in the Air Force for both the theater and unit-level operations, as well as integration with Joint and allied forcesDevelop or review previously developed data and message level implementation specifications for specific platforms or servicesResearch and gather information to develop Background Papers, staff studies, Talking Papers, or presentation materials as assigned by the GovernmentWhat We Offer
