As a Tactical Mission Instructor you will provide on‐site Tier II (CCNA or CCNA level experience preferred) Network and Systems (MCSA or MCP desired) support for Medium Data Rate Terminal (MDRT) baseband packages and other site-specific related network and systems infrastructure, while working in conjunction with the Tactical Enterprise Network service providers as required. This support shall include planning, configuration, operation, maintenance, and documentation related to MDRT baseband systems and associated equipment. Manage and track RF radio systems firmware upgrades, Integrate RF systems into the Tactical Mission Network from multiple spectrums, and incorporate C2 options for training, exercise, and deployment use.  

 

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

 

Education:

CCNA or equivalent certificationDOD 8570 IAT level II required

 

Required Experience:

5+ years of related experience

 

Required Technical Skills:

Must closely follow network protocols and methodology.Must be able to evaluate network performance and interact with users to solve complex problem.Work at a high technical level on all phases of network operationsWith a wide range of knowledge, evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution, monitors, tunes and sets standards.Maintains a complex range of computer network components and systems.Provides client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the network facilities.Plans and coordinates computer network initiatives.Researches, evaluates and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies.Devises solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.Provides internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients.Works with other network professionals as directed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.

Required Skills and abilities:

Good communications skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through.Detail oriented and organized; able to understand network evaluation criteria and be exact in assessments

 

Preferred Skills

CCNP or equivalent certificationMilitary experience
