Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will assist with screening and recruitment for positions within the enterprise. The coordinator will primarily screen candidate applications for open positions, ensuring they meet the minimum qualifications and submit them to hiring managers across the enterprise. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure efficient processing of applications. The coordinator will create and distribute all reoccurring and ad-hoc reporting for the talent acquisition function. This position will be trained to serve as the primary short term back up for recruiters.

Responsibilities
+ Supports the recruitment team by screening candidates in the ATS using their resume/application to qualify them for the position based on the requirements listed in the job description and submitting qualified applicants to the hiring manager for review.
+ Helps create and generate regular and ad-hoc reports on various metrics/KPIs for the talent acquisition team.
+ Gains a comprehensive understanding of the job families for which recruitment is conducted.
+ Acts as the main backup for recruiters during their leave or when there is a vacancy on the team.
+ Determines applicant requirements by job description and job qualifications.
+ Participate in community recruitment/employment activities.
+ Maintains a pipeline of active job seekers
+ When filling in for recruiters - conducts phone screens, interviews, evaluates, and refers qualified internal and external candidates to hiring managers to fill vacancies utilizing excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Provides verbal and written candidate evaluations to hiring managers.
+ Improves organization’s attractiveness by emphasizing benefits and strengths of the organization. Promotes Company as “Employer of Choice.”
+ Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with hiring managers, HR specialists.
+ Maintains complete and accurate records relating to specific openings within legal guidelines. Properly dispositions candidates in the applicant tracking system.
+ When filling in for recruiters - consult with hiring managers and compensation representatives to prepare appropriate offers and extends offers to selected candidates.
+ When filling in for recruiters - communicates with Human Resources departments on position openings and updates. After job offers are accepted, ensures timely and thorough hand off to appropriate human resources staff for onboarding.
+ Develops an understanding of Covenant lines of business, positions, and competitors and identifies “selling points” to present to candidates.
+ May participate in new hire orientation and answers new hire questions.
+ Develops knowledge of Talent Acquisition, employment practices, local and federal employment regulations, and general HR practices.
+ Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a bachelor’s degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 1 years’ HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven ability to interact effectively with a variety of people. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills and negotiation skills. Flexibility to meet varying customer needs and to juggle multiple priorities daily. Exceptional organizational skills. Basic personal computer and word processing skills. Knowledge of employment law and Human Resources.
Licensure Requirement:
Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
