Job Summary

Are you passionate about delivering impactful hiring solutions and recruiting top talent? Morton Salt is searching for a highly organized and proactive Talent Acquisition Leader to lead recruiting and onboarding processes across our North America entities and locations. This role will be essential to the development and continuous improvement of recruiting strategies, management of company-wide onboarding processes, and analysis and reporting of talent acquisition metrics. This role will partner closely with others on the Human Resources team to ensure smooth and efficient experiences for candidates, hiring managers, and new hires. The Talent Acquisition Leader will build key partnerships to attract and retain exceptional talent aligned with our values and talent strategy across all locations and employee groups.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement recruiting processes and strategies reflective of company values, employment brand, and talent needs. Identify and implement opportunities to standardize and automate hiring processes across all sites in North America. Provide HR team with ongoing training and guidance on recruiting and hiring processes including best practices for job postings, ensuring company-wide consistency and compliance across all recruiting platforms. Meet with key stakeholders to ensure thorough understanding of company-wide needs; identify and develop relationships with external partners including universities, trade schools, community colleges, and military organizations. Create and implement toolkit on best practices for hiring events across internal and external venues; support HR team with related execution needs. Recruit for positions in the corporate functions and other areas as needed. Manage the performance of existing recruiting vendors and proactively identify new vendors. Assist in the setup of new recruiting vendors in the accounting system and process recruiting-related invoices for payment. Manage and analyze the performance of employee referral program; analyze and report on quarterly performance metrics and ensure program is effectively communicated and utilized. Develop and implement company-wide internship/co-op program. Identify, organize, and attend on-campus career fairs and interviews. Identify additional opportunities for increasing on-campus awareness, both in person and virtually. Partner with IT and HRIS teams to develop recruiting dashboard. Analyze and report on recruiting metrics with emphasis on reducing time to fill and cost of hire; develop and measure meaningful action plans. Maintain data integrity through regular audits and providing ongoing feedback and training. Review ROI and analytics from third party job posting platforms. Manage company-wide onboarding processes. Create and maintain documents related to the onboarding process including presentations and surveys. Incorporate onboarding survey feedback to recommend and implement improvements. Ensure onboarding process fosters early engagement and alignment with company values.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field required. 5+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates through various channels with advanced search techniques. Exceptional, articulate communicator with superior business writing skills, as well as strong verbal and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Self-starter who can independently manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively and consistently execute with excellence. Ability and desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and operate with a sense of purpose and urgency to meet the demands of multiple customers. Ability to travel to various locations in North America for recruiting functions and site visits.
