JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Manager provides leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to a designated team of Talent Advisors who provide recruiting support to hiring managers within their assigned region. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for working with Greystar business leaders to develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies that enable the successful achievement of business goals. The role is responsible for leading their team to ensure hiring goals are met and that they are using the approved company tools and platforms. Supports Hiring Managers with defining the knowledge, skills, experience, and behavioral requirements for positions, and for sourcing top talent for current and future staffing needs. The position also oversees the candidate interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes. Assists managers in accessing Greystar’s systems, tools, and following processes and policies related to talent acquisition. This position also sources, recruits, hires, and trains new hires for talent acquisition team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Leads a designated recruiting team by ensuring the sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates. Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new Talent Acquisition team members.  Oversees the daily workflow of the group, provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and feedback in accordance with company policy. Follows and ensures team follows Greystar’s recruiting and hiring policies and procedures by posting and advertising for open positions, reviewing candidate resumes and applications, scheduling and conducting screening and in-depth interviews, and managing the communication flow between candidates and the hiring manager through the life cycle of the process including interviewing, offer, pre-employment background screening. Works closely with Talent Acquisition Managers in other regions to share best practices, provide guidance and assistance on critical needs and coordinate on national-level initiatives. Serves as the primary point of contact for an entire division/region/geographic area. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the business area and provides high level talent acquisition support and guidance to Greystar leadership. Provides coaching, mentoring and development to the designated team. Builds collaborative partnership with regional leaders and hiring managers and consults in the assessment and selection of qualified talent to ensure business needs are met and provides guidance and influence to ensure effective selection decisions. Engages in and ensures team uses approved Greystar platforms, follows processes for proactive sourcing/pipelining and successful techniques to identity top talent for open requisitions, facilitates prioritization of talent needs, and conducts thorough pre-screens, as needed. Provides candidate management and shares strong candidates with colleagues and hiring managers in other regions when appropriate. Works with the company’s Talent Management and Compensation areas to ensure that jobs are accurately documented, classified and market priced, as well as ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and legal requirements. Recommends and executes effective and efficient recruitment strategies needed to acquire top talent, develops and maintains sources for qualified candidates by setting up and hosting job fairs, advertising via job boards, participating in college recruitment programs, promoting the team member referral program, and establishing local networks in professional, industry, and other associations and organizations.  Ensures all activities are consistent with Greystar’s brand. Promotes and manages a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process and communicates as appropriate with candidates and hiring managers on the status of the hiring process. Meets established key benchmarks for measuring effectiveness of recruiting activity and results.  Collaborates with HRIS for development of recruiting metrics, reports and updates as needed by key business leaders. Serves as subject matter expert on all recruiting systems/technology; facilitates training for managers on recruiting system to include Workday and other systems and tool as needed. Organizes and participates in specialized recruiting efforts, such as the Company’s MBA / College Intern Recruitment Program, minority and diversity recruiting strategies, staffing for lease-ups, and the due diligence and staffing for acquisitions, new countries, etc. 

Basic Knowledge & Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Minimum five years’ progressive experience in talent acquisition and recruiting, preferably in real estate or related industries, for both line-level and management-level positions. 

Specialized Skills: 

Excellent relationship management skills, with proven ability to establish credibility and partner with business leaders to identify talent gaps and needs and create and execute talent acquisition plans. Strong leadership and project management skills and the ability to execute fast-paced and high-volume recruitment efforts. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to conduct interviews with applicants, and interact with hiring managers and other team members, vendors, contractors, and business contacts. Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database management programs in order to complete required reports and produce necessary training materials. Proficiency in using the internet and internet applications (Outlook, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) in order to gather research, manage advertising, schedule appointments, and communicate with candidates. Strong customer-service orientation and influencing skills. Deep knowledge of employment laws and regulations and working knowledge of current recruitment and talent sourcing practices and strategies, including use of social media and digital marketing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strategic, creative and innovative thinking skills, ability to exercise sound judgment. Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Additional Compensation:

Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
