Primary Purpose of the Role

The Talent Acquisition Partner will sit in the Romanian Hub of the European Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence (CoE) and will ensure that the countries managed by the Hub have the right people, in the right place, at the right time to execute their strategy.

Acting as proud ambassadors for Thales, Talent Acquisition team will work together to provide the business with the highest quality talent, within the right timescales and at the right cost. The Talent Acquisition Partner will hold full accountability for all stages of the hiring process, from attraction to onboarding whilst ensuring the candidates have a quality experience throughout every step.

-    Talent Acquisition Manager of the Romanian Hub
-    Head of Talent Acquisition Continental Europe

-    HR Director Romania
-    Management teams across Thales Romania and other Thales countries managed by the hub
-    Global Sourcing Team


Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Recruiting and Sourcing

-    Participates in actions (internally and externally, online and offline) that are having as main objective the attraction of new candidates

-    Implement and deliver the resourcing strategy within the assigned perimeter

-   Responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle for all personally assigned requisitions from requirements definition, sourcing, selection through to on boarding and for the first 6 months of employees’ tenure
-    Support Hiring Managers in defining their needs and specifying requirements;

-        Organize / participate in calibration discussions together with the Hiring Manager and technical interviewers; determine the must-have / special requirements of the vacancies, ensure that she /he understood all the information contained in the job description / candidate's profile

-        Customize and post the job ads in order to land more attractively for candidates, while keeping content relevancy

-        Manage all available channels to activate candidate market including e-sourcing, online advertising (job boards, linked in, social media), employee referral, internal recruitment newsletter, offline advertising, events and agencies

-        Provide to Hiring Manager the summary / candidates’ notes based on the criteria

-        Send candidates’ feedback in regard of their application status

-        Coach and advise Hiring Managers based on recruitment and market data; inform and influence local and key hiring decisions

-        Accountable for proactively building talent pools and pipeline for (future) recruitment needs identifying new channels and bringing innovative ideas in

Change Management & Continuous Improvement

-    Champion compliance with Group policies and procedures throughout the resourcing lifecycle, including ensuring comprehensive and accurate information is maintained in key systems (e.g. Workday, LinkedIn, internal standard reports) to consistent standards across the team

-        Work collaboratively with others when projects require, share common projects/ resources (eg Linked-in share projects)
-    Collaborate with the other Talent Acquisition Partners of the European Talent Acquisition Centre of Excellence as required and share best practices and innovative solutions which could benefit to all.
-    Work in a collaborative manner with the various Talent Acquisition Centers of Excellence in the Group and the Global Resourcing Team to build a cohesive approach to managing talent across the Group

Employer Branding 
-    Participate actively to HR Communication actions: Career Fairs, internal or external events, campaigns, etc.

-        Ensure all marketing channels used meet Group Global employer branding guidelines

-        Represent the Group at industry events in line with the company strategy

Admin & Performance Measurement:

-        Prepare, draft and follow the documentation regarding the selection and recruitment process, according to the recruitment policy;

-        Elaborate specific reports as per the guidelines of TA hub and local management needs; identify root causes for challenges, as well as improvement suggestions

-        Use, as the case may be, different testing tools (psychometric test, specific knowledge tests) provided by the company;

-        Keep a track record of the candidates that are part of ongoing sourcing / recruitment process; ensures that GDPR principles are respected and that for the job purposes are used only Thales devices and agreed datastores

-        Monitor the general standards and practices of recruitment; ensure that Thales recruitment process and guidelines are respected for the requisitions he / she manage

Competencies required for role 

-    Proven sourcing experience within a complex environment
-    Experience in the engineering and Technology skills market
-    Experience in identifying both passive and active candidates across a variety of attraction channels; great sourcing and interviewing skills
-    Lead, model, manage and coach the organization in best practice selection techniques
-    Able to positively influence at all levels of an organization up to senior levels, and to develop valued relationships with managers and Candidates alike.
