Our **Services, Distribution & Digital (SD&D)** segment oversees the Cat® Dealer Network and works with dealers to achieve our shared growth goals. In addition, SD&D manages all inbound and outbound logistics and the global parts distribution network and has end-to-end responsibility for wear and maintenance components. Lastly, SD&D develops digital solutions to support dealers and customers. SD&D is comprised of five divisions: Americas Distribution & Service (ADSD), Asia Pacific Distribution (APD), Europe African Middle East Eurasia (EAME-D), Cat Digital (Digital) and Product Support & Logistics (PSLD). As the **Talent Acquisition Partner,** you will be responsible for leveraging sound knowledge, consultation and influencing skills to aid business leaders in attracting and hiring qualified best-in-class talent through innovative and proven talent acquisition strategies. Additionally, the Talent Acquisition Partner identifies, engages, and connects with the best talent on an ongoing basis to facilitate the filling of open positions quickly and efficiently. This individual will support our **Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD)** and work with hiring managers and HR leaders to understand both the current and future staffing needs, discuss potential recruiting strategies, and manage the recruiting process from quickly sourcing passive candidates through to offer acceptance. This role may also have the opportunity to work with other divisions as necessary. **What You Will Do:** + **Talent Consultation:** + Leverage an understanding of business unit and/or functional talent needs combined with a holistic view of the internal and external labor market to provide consultative talent guidance to HR Business Partners and hiring leadership. + Collaborate with talent acquisition leadership to help business leaders forecast the impact of potential hiring demand fluctuations through business cycles and understanding of attrition rates (and reasons). + Collaborate and partner with business leaders to understand strategic workforce plans and facilitate pre-pipeline talent planning conversations. + **Recruiting & Sourcing:** + Design and develop comprehensive data-driven talent acquisition strategies to attract top talent in order to build the best teams and partner with hiring leadership and HR Managers to execute strategies. + Evaluate resumes, conduct qualitative phone screenings and provide informed recommendations to leadership. + Provide expertise in interviewing methodology and high-touch customer-focused processes to enable consistent quality of hire. + **Customer and Candidate Relationship Management:** + Challenge hiring manager assumptions to drive effective hiring decisions through a lens hiring the best talent. + Act as a recruitment subject matter expert and strategic thinking partner by providing recommendations and industry-specific knowledge that contributes to the overall achievement of Caterpillar’s business and financial objectives. + Serve as primary liaison between prospective employees and Caterpillar. + Establish and maintain effective relationships with prospects and candidates, sharing Caterpillar’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) as well as current and forecasted opportunities. + Utilize effective communication and follow-through strategies to build trust and confidence with customers and candidates while adhering to and being accountable for customer service levels. + Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS), Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools and an understanding of new and evolving technologies to deliver the most qualified candidates, build strong candidate pipelines, and monitor and manage reports to measure efficiency and effectiveness. + Understand and comply with specific governmental hiring standard and practices (i.e., EEO, OFCCP, etc.). + Provide mentorship, leadership and development for peers and team members. + Other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time-to-time. **What You Have (Core Skills):** + **Relationship Management:** Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers. + **Customer/Market Focus:** Understanding of the importance of remaining aware of shifting market priorities and ability to respond to internal and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value. + **Recruitment Channel Management:** Knowledge of the benefit, selection, implementation, and operation of various recruitment channels (e.g., computer databases, Internet recruiting resources, cold calls, media, recruiting firms and employee referrals); ability to use appropriate channels to achieve objectives of organizational talent strategy. + **Staffing and Recruiting:** Knowledge of standards, processes, techniques and methods used in staffing and recruiting; ability to identify, screen, source, select, retain and relocate qualified personnel, both internally and externally, for a wide range of positions. + **Workforce Analytics:** Knowledge of human resources (HR) and workforce issues and trends; ability to analyze workforce data, information and metrics and apply the results to support business decisions. **What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):** + Experience recruiting in Logistics, Supply Chain, Distribution, IT, or Procurement. + Experience using recruiting tools to identify external talent (i.e., LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, or a CRM to support successful recruiting efforts and candidate management). + Experience using data to influence hiring decisions (i.e., Talent Neuron, LinkedIn Insights, etc.). + Experience with OFCCP compliance. + Experience interacting with and influencing Senior leaders. **Additional Information:** + **Location:** Morton, IL (United States) + **Required Travel:** 10%-20% (Domestic) + **Relocation Assistance Offered:** No + **Sponsorship Offered:** No **About Caterpillar:** Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.
