Area:

HR Services (HRS) is responsible for the experience of over 20,000 employees across BASF's operations in the Americas throughout their journey within the company, from onboarding to offboarding. The services provided by HRS have a significant impact on the entire value chain, offering support for all aspects of human resources functions. Among its responsibilities, HRS handles talent attraction and acquisition, facilitates employee development initiatives, designs comprehensive compensation and benefits packages, and manages the administrative processes related to human resources. This ensures that employees have a positive experience at every stage of their employment, which in turn contributes to the overall success and efficiency of the organization. By focusing on these critical areas, HRS plays a vital role in fostering a productive and engaged workforce.

 

Main Objective:

As a Talent Acquisition Partner for North America, your main role will be to recruit exceptional talent for BASF. You will work closely with Hiring Managers and Business Leaders to understand their needs and present high-quality candidates efficiently in a consultative way. Your main objective will be to build a solid relationship with your stakeholders while also collaborating with sourcing, candidate care, and diversity strategy teams to address complex situations. Additionally, you will contribute to various projects and initiatives as a valued member of the Talent Acquisition and Attraction NA team.

 

Main Tasks:

Lead the end-to-end Talent Acquisition process and serve as the main point of contact for Hiring Managers, regional and global HR colleagues with a consultative approach.Work directly with the leaders to understand the talent attraction challenges, business priorities and define sourcing strategies and create an action plan. Develop and lead a recruiting strategy that meets the organization targets, business needs (forecast demands, candidate profiling) and legal requirements.Implement the recruiting strategy, effectively negotiate with both candidates and stakeholders, and influence decision-making processes.Serve as a liaison between the recruiting and sourcing teams by effectively communicating the ideal talent profiles to the recruiting, marketing and sourcing team.Review and prepare the shortlisted applicants and present them to the Hiring Managers.Advise HM on the recommended profiles, define, prepare, and extend verbal offers (including performing salary analysis, based on market reference point, Internal Equity and BASF Broad bands). Review and approve candidates background check and medical reports and consult with necessary stakeholders when needed (legal, corporate security, corporate medical, etc.).Collaborate with all Talent Acquisition teams to achieve timely recruitment execution, delivering high-quality talent within defined metrics/goals, and ensuring exceptional experiences for candidates and Hiring Managers. Stay updated on external market dynamics and evolving recruiting trends to facilitate informed and consultative discussions with the businesses you assist. Collaborate in different projects related to recruitment activities, process improvement and tools implementation.

 

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration, Human Resources or similar.Working Experience: 5 - 8 years of experience, preferable with HR topics, working directly with stakeholders with a combined professional recruiting experience with a focus on sourcing and market trends in different industries. Language skills: Advanced English, Excellent verbal, and written communication skills.Technical Skills: Intermediate skills in applicant tracking system (ATS) ex. Taleo / Success Factor; Intermediate skills in recruiting tools, for example: LinkedIn Recruiter, etc. Ability to identify areas of improvement and develop action plans to improve processes. Ability to create reports and analyze data.Soft Skills: Communication, strong verbal and writer communication skills, actively listen to understand needs and requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of employees.Negotiation skills, persuasion and influencing others, and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.  Excellent organizational skills, strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities.High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, attention to details.
