Job Description The role involves assessing and addressing skills gaps to ensure employees are equipped to meet organizational needs through targeted learning programs, career development, and succession planning. It includes designing, implementing, and refining training programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Collaboration with HR, leadership, and external partners aligns these initiatives with strategic business goals while keeping pace with industry standards and trends.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plays a crucial role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees to meet the current and future needs of the organization.
Conducts skills gap analysis to identify gaps between current employee skills and the skills required for future roles or organizational goals.
Conducts employee assessments to evaluate employees’ competencies, career aspirations, and areas for improvement through various tools like assessments, surveys, and interviews.
Design and develop learning programs that address identified skills gaps and promote career development.
Develop or source appropriate learning materials, such as e-learning modules, instructional guides, and training manuals.
Execution of training programs, monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance data to ensure they meet their objectives.
Refine and update training programs based on evaluation data, employee feedback, and changing organizational needs.
Participate in or lead talent review sessions to discuss employee performance, potential, and succession planning.
Help employees map out potential career paths within the organization and identify the skills and experiences needed to advance.
Identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership or critical roles within the organization.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, development, and high performance within the organization.
Use data analytics to track the effectiveness of talent development programs and provide insights to senior leadership.
Ensure that all talent development programs comply with industry standards, legal requirements, and organizational policies.
Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in talent development to continuously improve programs.
Work closely with HR, department heads, and senior management to align talent development initiatives with business goals.
Engage with external vendors, educational institutions, and professional organizations to enhance the organization’s talent development offerings.
KPIs:
Skills Gap Reduction Rate - measures the percentage reduction in identified skills gaps within the workforce over a specific period. It can be calculated by comparing pre- and post-training assessments to track how effectively talent development programs are closing the skills gap in alignment with organizational needs.
Training Program Effectiveness Score – calculated through a combination of employee feedback, assessment results, and performance improvements – could serve as another KPI to measure the success and impact of learning and development programs.
AI Tool Adoption Rate - calculates the percentage of employees who actively use AI-driven tools or systems introduced within learning and development programs. It reflects how readily the workforce is integrating AI into their daily routines for skill improvement, performance tracking, or self-guided learning.
TOP 3-5 DELIVERABLES:
Skills Gap Analysis Report - A comprehensive report detailing current skill levels versus required competencies, identifying specific skill gaps aligned with organizational goals. This report guides the development of targeted learning programs and resource allocation.
Customized Learning and Development Programs - Creation and deployment of tailored training modules (e-learning courses, instructional guides, workshops) designed to address the identified skills gaps and support career development.
Training Program Effectiveness Evaluation - Regular evaluation reports based on metrics such as feedback, assessment scores, and performance data to measure the impact of training programs. This includes actionable recommendations for refining and improving program effectiveness.
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning and Development, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or HR roles with a focus on employee development.
Experience in designing and delivering learning programs, conducting skills gap analysis, and evaluating training effectiveness.
Leadership or managerial experience, particularly in managing a team or overseeing large-scale talent development projects, is often highly desired.
Knowledge of e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate) and data analytics tools for measuring program effectiveness.
Familiarity with AI-driven learning tools and performance tracking systems.
