Job Title: Talent Engagement Coordinator

 

Job Summary:         

The mission of the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services (CASES) is to increase public safety through innovative services that reduce crime and incarceration, improve behavioral health, promote recovery and rehabilitation, and create opportunities for success in the community. CASES seeks a Talent Engagement Coordinator who will support the day-to-day needs of the incredible talent we have at CASES. The Talent Engagement Coordinator is a highly visible, outward-facing member of the Talent team who helps build meaningful, community-centered relationships with educational institutions, workforce development partners, and nonprofit collaborators across New York City. They act as a connector between external talent pipelines and internal opportunities, ensuring our organization is represented authentically and consistently in external spaces. 

This is not a full-cycle recruitment role. Instead, the focus is on outreach, relationship support, and candidate encouragement, working in close collaboration with the Manager, Talent Experience and broader People & Culture team. 

Salary: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

 

Shift Hours: The Talent Engagement Coordinator is full-time working days and hours Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

 

Location Address: 151 Lawrence Street, Brooklyn NY 11201; 4 West 125th Street New York, NY 10007; various

Workplace Flexibility:  Hybrid. Onsite presence 2–5 times per month; frequent local travel across NYC boroughs required

 

Reports to: Manager, Talent Experience

 

What the Talent Engagement Coordinator will be doing: 

Campus & Community Engagement Represent the organization at job fairs, university events, workforce programs, and mission-aligned community events across NYC.Execute and support engagement plans crafted by the Manager, Talent Experience.Deliver resume-building and interview preparation support to prospective candidates as part of outreach programming.Draft Post-Event Summary Reports to assess outreach impact and inform future engagement strategy.Maintain and build out a comprehensive Partnerships Database, ensuring it is regularly updated with event details, contacts, and follow-ups.Collaborate with Communications team to ensure all external materials align with organizational branding and communications standards.

Candidate Relationship Support 

Serve as a guide for prospective candidates by offering context on available opportunities, our hiring process, and values-aligned pathways into the organization.Provide one-on-one or group-based resume and interview support in event settings and workshops.Refer promising candidates to the broader Talent team for current or future opportunities.Cultivate a warm, values-driven experience for all external stakeholders.

Team & Process Support 

Coordinate regularly with the Talent Team to ensure alignment between outreach activities and active hiring needs.Assist with managing recruitment event logistics, collateral, and supplies.Uphold a consistent, inclusive voice across all materials used in external-facing events and outreach.

 

What we are looking for:  

2–4 years of experience in workforce development, university relations, nonprofit outreach, or a related front-facing role.Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills; personable, approachable, and reflective.Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize experiences into clear written reports.Commitment to inclusion, equity, and removing barriers to employment.Willingness to travel regularly across NYC boroughs.Comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database tracking systems.
