In this role, you will focus on executive development, driving organizational success through strategic leadership of talent management programs and services. Partnering closely with senior leaders, this position autonomously consults, identifies gaps, designs solutions, leads change and reports on results to support critical business initiatives. Prior people leadership experience preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30AM- 5:30PM. Working remotely and living in the Phoenix Metro Area. Will have some travel to Banner facilities and our Corporate office.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position plays a pivotal role in driving organizational success by providing strategic guidance and leadership to talent management programs that align to the organization's strategies. Programs may include talent development, talent planning, or workforce pathing and skills. Identifies opportunities for innovation and unique solutions. This role will collaborate closely with HR leadership and key stakeholders to consult, assess gaps, design solutions, and lead change in support of key business initiatives. May lead or provide oversight to multiple complex programs, effectively managing the resources, timelines and scope. Anticipates objections and solves unique and complex problems, often influencing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities to adopt a different perspective. Develops innovative processes, products or solutions that address current and future issues.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Adopts a proactive approach to lead through ambiguity and identify and analyze risk to Talent Management priorities. Provides leadership with external research and benchmarking, business analysis, evidenced-based best practices to solve unique and complex business problems and/or elevate the end-user experience of programs. Utilizes data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of talent management programs and makes data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
 

2. Aligns operations to strategy and effectively determines and maintains processes and procedures that ensure successful outcomes. Continuously optimizes standard operating procedures, looking for continuous improvement opportunities for program growth, automation, or efficiencies.

3. Creates and manages project lifecycle with key milestones to ensure deadlines are met, potential roadblocks and risks are anticipated, escalated and solved for. Prioritizes tasks across multiple projects, facilitates alignment, considers downstream impact, leverages functional expertise and drives timely execution of deliverables. Maintains statistics and reports on activity in areas of responsibility and effectively provides status reports and action items to leadership and key stakeholders. Reviews, prepares, analyzes, and presents reports and recommendations on operations, programs, services, and other relevant areas to provide accurate, and concise information that influences decision-making for leadership and stakeholders across the organization.

4. Comprehensively scopes out project and change management approach and sequence in conjunction with larger, multiple Talent Management project plans to effectively plan and influence the organization's timelines, resources, and impact. Implements plans and change with defined scope, business need, and appropriate buy-in from stakeholders. Conducts post project/program evaluations in partnership with leadership, including capturing relevant, timely feedback and incorporating successes and areas for improvement into future iterations of the programs.
 

5. Conveys strong executive presence and leverages facilitation and presentation skills to effectively lead workshops, training sessions, and executive briefings. Develops and implements a communication plan for holistic program(s) implementation, providing reliable and concise information. Adapts presentation and facilitation approaches to address audience dynamics, ensuring participants connect with translated content effectively. Builds rapport with team members at various position levels. Creates a psychologically safe learning environment, fostering open communication and promoting active participation among participants.

6. Leads and collaborates with peers and senior leadership across Banner Health. Participates and may lead taskforces to plan, implement, and coordinate facility activities to maximize talent strategies, service quality, effectiveness and efficiency. Serves as knowledge, quality and process subject matter expert.

7. Leads the design and implementation of talent management solutions and programs to enhance team member development and growth that is aligned with organizational goals.

8. Provides leadership and mentorship to team members in the areas of talent management, talent development, change management, communication, evidence-based research, data analysis, and implementation of programs and services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience designing, developing, implementing and delivering comprehensive talent management programs and/or supporting organizational effectiveness efforts as typically demonstrated with bachelor's degree and seven years of progressively increasing responsibility.

Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of talent development, talent planning, or workforce pathing.

Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to effectively establish and maintain successful relationships with all partners/stakeholders and influence effectively.

Must possess exceptional project management, organizational and prioritization skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Analytical abilities to interpret data, assess trends, and make recommendations.

Must demonstrate strong personal computer skills including extensive experience with office desktop applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Eight years of experience in learning and development, adult learning principles, coaching, leadership development models, facilitation skills, talent planning, and workforce pathing.

Certification in coaching, learning or talent development.

Experience in people leadership.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
