Talent Practices Consultant

The Talent Development Consultant is responsible for standardizing train-the-trainer programs for talent review, succession planning, and team development solutions. In addition, the Consultant is responsible for facilitating Insights Discovery programs and other team development programs and solutions.
This role reports to the Manager of Talent Practices and is a position with the Talent Management team in Human Resources (HR) at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI).
The Consultant will – under the guidance of the Manager of Talent Practices – design a standardized and comprehensive approach for designing and delivering train-the-trainer programs focused on talent development and team development solutions. The consultant will partner closely with the Manager to document and map the talent review and succession planning processes that Dana-Farber Cancer Institute recently launched.
In addition, the Consultant will also facilitate Insights Discovery and newly-created team development solutions whose aim is to increase team effectiveness. The Consultant will, in partnership with the Manager, design and develop train-the-trainer programs and resources for these team solutions using the same standardized and comprehensive train-the-trainer approach for talent review and succession planning processes.
These are brand new initiatives being launched at the Institute. As such, the successful candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker with a passion for talent assessment, talent development, and increasing team effectiveness through facilitated programs. They must have a proven track record of developing and delivering train-the-trainer programs within organizations and successfully facilitating Insight Discovery.
The Consultant must build effective relationships and collaborate across the Talent Management team, greater Human Resources, and with various departments to gather insights that will inform and optimize the structure and design of train-the-trainer programs and resources.
The Consultant will collaborate with our HR Business Partner team to collect input and feedback for building and developing the train-the-trainer programs they will engage in. The consultant will use proven best practices for design and delivery approaches and adapt them to our organization and its mission. This includes the design and execution of talent review and succession planning programs that address the workforce capabilities, skills, and competencies needed to attain current and future goals of the business.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Talent Development Processes:**
+ Document and map the talent review and succession planning processes ranging from senior leadership to emerging leaders.
+ Design the supportive materials, communications, and resources for these talent development processes.
+ Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of talent management initiatives.
+ Make data-driven decisions and identify areas for improvement proactively.
+ Evolve the talent review and succession planning processes based on evaluative feedback.
**Support HR Business Partners:**
+ Develop all training and related support materials to enable HRBP team to facilitate the team solutions and engage in the talent review process with their respective clients.
+ Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to HR Business Partners who complete the talent development and team development trainings.
**Needs Analysis:**
+ Conduct assessments to evaluate current talent review, succession planning, and team development processes and initiatives.
+ Identify areas for improving the talent review, succession planning, and team development processes and make recommendations that incorporate current research and trends.
+ Revise and evolve the talent development and team development solutions processes and materials based on the assessments.
**Program Design and Delivery:**
+ Define a comprehensive set of standards for train-the-trainer programs that includes components such as: needs assessments, structure, training design, materials, learning activities, evaluation, and communities of practice.
+ Work with DFCI Learning team to create engaging and effective learning materials, workshops, and e-learning modules to support the train-the-trainer programs.
+ Deliver train-the-trainer sessions to Talent Management, HRBP, and appropriate DFCI staff engaging in talent development and team development solution delivery and facilitation.
+ Facilitate the team development solution programs, in conjunction with Insights Discovery, to Talent Management clients.
**Performance Evaluation:**
+ Propose and monitor metrics or key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the talent development and team solution train-the-trainer programs.
+ Analyze training data and feedback to make continuous improvements to the train-the-trainer programs and processes.
**Compliance and Quality Assurance:**
+ Maintain the highest quality standards for training materials and delivery.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
+ Minimum of three years of experience in developing and facilitating training content.
+ Minimum of three years of team development or leadership coaching experience.
+ Certified in Insights Discovery.
+ ICF coaching certification is a plus.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:**
+ Proven track record in designing and implementing successful talent development programs.
+ Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, using data to drive talent management decisions.
+ Strong project management skills, managing multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
