**Description** Must have the ability to apply emphasis to major functions of equipment in area of responsibility this includes but is not limited to: Must be capable of performing the essential functions of various mechanical tasks Must understand the process flow of mechanical functions. This includes but is not limited to the equipment on the Tannery floor. Understands the workings of diagnostic equipment (oscilloscope, megger, volt meter and Amp probes). All functions of primary and secondary product equipment. Product testing equipment All plant Program Logic Controllers All primary and Secondary functions of the mechanical power in the facility All equipment associated to mechanical areas that are assigned by peers Must be able to understand and draw mechanical schematics and use these schematics and plant schematics as troubleshooting guides. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbal & written. EDUCATION: Finalized BS/Certification or in progress (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) Experience: Certification may be substituted for 3+ years’ experience in the same field. EOE/Vet/Disabled
