THE JOB:

As a Master Cook at TAP Sportsbar, you'll play a pivotal role in food preparation under the guidance of the Chef, while also enhancing guest experiences with your warm demeanor and attentive service. By connecting with guests and understanding their individual preferences, you'll create memorable "WOW" moments that leave a lasting impression, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated during their visit. Your culinary skills and commitment to exceptional hospitality will contribute significantly to the vibrant atmosphere of our bar.

STARTING RATE: $23.50 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Follow methods of food preparation, cooking, portion size, mixing of sauces and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in an approved manner as prescribed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous ChefSet-up workstation based on pars established by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef, follow station set-up sheet, and operate a specific stationEvaluate cooked food before serving for quality flavors and appearance by taste and smellDrive the Customer Relations Management system by ensuring orders are handled correctlyComply with occupational, health and safety standards, ensure food is stored and kept at proper holding temperatures through the use of thermometersComplete closing requirements directed by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and/or Sous ChefDelegate tasks to other job classifications as instructed by chefs


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Knowledgeable of restaurant operations, such as opening/closing procedures, food cost awareness, and ordering food productsKnowledge of food and beverage products, including preparation methods/times, major ingredients, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and method presentationKnowledgeable of how to safely use all kitchen equipmentExcellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detailAble to lead and mentor a teamKnowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulationsExcellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contactsHas high school diploma, GED or equivalentHas related experience or prior relevant experienceCan work varied shifts, to include weekend and holidays
