Kinseth Hospitality is looking to grow our Task Force Sales Team! This team is crucial to the overall success of our hotels by filling in during a temporary vacancy as well as assisting with additional sales effort for newly opened/remodeled hotels. This role is ideal for someone with Hotel Sales Experience and interested in traveling to various locations. We are eager to find someone with varied experience with any of the large Hospitality Brands (such as Marriott, Hilton, and/or IHG) with diverse market experience. We need someone that can easily adapt to new situations as vacancies occur throughout our growing portfolio. Qualifications for position
+ Must have at least 3-5 years hospitality sales experience
+ Must have previous experience in sales & negotiations
+ Able to travel 90% of the time
+ Valid Drivers License
+ Experience with Delphi FDC, and/or Delphi Standard Sales Systems
+ Multi brand experience preferred, but not required
+ Prior management of a sales team preferred, but not required
Essential Responsibilities
+ Travel to designated hotel to increase sales efforts.
+ Work with Corporate Director of Sales on schedule.
+ Work with Regional Sales Team on all properties, growing revenues and post all activities for properties in a recap to Basecamp/post all sales efforts in a weekly report.
+ Regularly plans travel and sales and marketing activities for individual property visits and communicates with individual General Managers and Director of Operations.
+ Performs market research to identify opportunities and completes a plan of action for the week ahead.
+ Plans, documents and post his/her weekly schedule via Basecamp & shares calendar with corporate sales staff.
+ Performs outside sales calls individually and/or with property team on selected accounts and new business sources.
+ Performs prospect calls on selected accounts and new business sources.
+ Prompt response per company directive to all inquiries from customers.
+ Assists with new property ramp-up where necessary.
+ Work with and support KHC Revenue Staff.
+ Work & Train front desk staff on sales items, everyone sells.
+ Schedules and conducts site visits with prospective clients.
+ Prepare proposals and sales agreements
+ Details events and preparing banquet event orders, as necessary
+ Prepare group resumes, and distribute accordingly, for incoming groups
+ Review folios for accuracy to ensure proper billing
+ Negotiate rates, concessions, and services on behalf of the hotel based upon the predetermined rate strategy of the individual hotels.
+ Researches and stays familiar with individual communities and markets.
+ Coordinates and documents quarterly marketing strategies with individual select (limited) service General Managers.
+ Assists in planning, and actively participates in sales blitzes and promotions.
+ Actively participates in designated trade and travel organizations.
+ Dissemination of information as to market developments and competitors’ activities.
+ Preparation of regular and special reports as may be required by the Corporate Director of Sales and Director of Operations.
+ Attend departmental meetings, as directed by General Manager and/or Corporate Director of Sales
+ Assure credit and deposit policies are adhered to, per company standards
+ Complete expense vouchers as outlined by corporate travel department and hotel accountant.
+ Adheres to company policies and procedures regarding expense and per diems
+ Ensure a positive public relations image with local communities.
KHC POLICIES: Responsible for following all KHC policies and procedures as set forth in the KHC handbook and property specific guidelines/standards. These policies include dress code, safety, and performance standards. Employees must also maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises 1-4 employees in the Sales Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring and appraising work performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college and 3-5 years’ experience; or bachelor’s degree and one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Franchise specific certification if required by the franchise of the business unit. Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
