Department Summary:

The Airborne Battle Management and Command and Control (ABMC2) department is seeking a leader to join our energetic and diverse team of system, electrical, and software engineers and global flight operations domain analysts in assisting our sponsors with their most critical mission problems. In the BMC2 area, we are assisting our U.S. and foreign partners on major upgrades to enhance effectiveness of their airborne platforms (e.g., E-3/E-7) in a contested environment to gain and retain air superiority.  In particular, this position is to lead the analysis and definition of spectrum sharing between commercial 5G and ABMC2 systems. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Leading a small team of modelers to characterize effectiveness of interference mitigation solutions between Radio Frequency spectrum usersDeveloping guidelines and concepts for sharing spectrum between incumbent users and commercial usersPlanning, conducting and executing data collections to characterize interference impacts and effectiveness of mitigation strategiesPresenting technical recommendations to sponsors and other external stakeholders 

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Interest and exposure to radar systems, communication systems, and 5G New Radio conceptsExcellent interpersonal, writing, communication, and briefing skills to interact with team members and the United States Government and International sponsors Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearanceThis position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 6 years of related experienceActive Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCIExperience leading small teams, managing deadlines, and prioritizing taskingExperience with the 5G physical layer and knowledge of 5G signalingExpertise in simulation and analysis software tools such as MATLAB, R, AFSIM and programming languages such as C++ and JavaExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering concepts and toolsExperience with National Telecommunications and Information Administration and Department of Defense spectrum studiesDemonstrated experience modeling networking and communications systems or sensor modeling
