Now Hiring for a Tax Accountant Rolling Meadows, IL Job Description As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and preparing a variety of tax returns and filings for individuals, C Corporations, and S Corporations. This role is ideal for someone with experience in both individual and corporate tax, particularly within small business environments. Your expertise in payroll taxes and proficiency with QuickBooks will be key to your success in this role. Responsibilities + Prepare quarterly payroll taxes. + Manage and file individual tax returns (20-30 per quarter). + Handle C Corporation and S Corporation taxes. + Split responsibilities between individual and corporate tax preparation. + Utilize QuickBooks for tax preparation and filing. Essential Skills + 1.5 to 3 years of experience in payroll tax and tax returns. + Experience with C Corporations and S Corporations. + Proficiency in individual tax preparation. + Experience in payroll tax filings. + Proficiency with QuickBooks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Work Environment You will be working in a smaller firm with approximately seven other accountants onsite, along with the owner. The schedule is highly favorable, even during busy seasons. From January to April, you have the opportunity to accumulate additional PTO, resulting in substantial PTO post-April, even in your first year.
