Summary

We ae recruiting for a Tax Accountant. This position is responsible for multi-state sales and use tax process which includes responding to internal/external customer requests, reviewing purchases, and preparing and filing sales and use tax returns.

 

The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $83,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Respond timely to internal/external customers on taxability of purchases and provided appropriate documentation

2. Prepare reconciliations for sales and use tax liability balance sheet accounts

3. Reviews accruals and prepares journal entries

4. Compiles data and files sales and use tax returns required on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis

Minimum Education and Experience Required

REQUIRED:  Bachelors degree in Accounting plus 1-3 years related work experience.  

 

PREFERRED: Possess practical knowledge of transaction taxes

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
