Tax Accountant
Tax Accountant Job Description We are hiring a Tax Accountant to work with our Corporate Tax team in our Omaha headquarters. In this role, you will be involved with Canadian income tax filings, audits, research and planning, and transfer pricing documentation. You may also assist with U.S. International, Federal, and State tax compliance. Responsibilities + Preparation of Canadian Federal and Provincial returns + Calculations for quarterly tax provisions and monthly installment payments + Assist with income tax audits and field support + Preparation of transfer pricing documentation + Research and analysis of tax issues + Completion of other assigned projects + May include preparation of U.S. International, Federal, and State calculations Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting + 1 year of tax experience + Income tax experience (internship or post-college) + Proven technical abilities + Strong problem-solving and organizational skills + Detail-oriented + Effective communication skills, both verbal and written + Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, income tax compliance and research software) + Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and work independently and as part of a team + Some travel may be required Additional Skills & Qualifications + New graduates are welcome to apply, provided they have relevant internship experience Work Environment You will be working 100% onsite at our downtown office, which includes a gym, coffee shop, car detail shop, and cafeteria with subsidized meals ($3 breakfast and $6 lunch). Free parking is available. The work hours are flexible, with a start time between 6:30-8:30 AM, a 45-minute lunch break, and an end time between 3:30-5:30 PM. Our Canada tax team consists of four members, and you will primarily focus on Canadian income tax with some U.S. tax work later in the year. We provide project-specific training, 1:1 mentoring, and have extensive guides and reference materials.
