What You'll Do for Us:
Financial Reporting and Local GAAP controls and compliance:
Coordinate and assist with the preparation of Local and US GAAP (Month-end and Year-end) Financial Statements
Responsible for the integrity of Local and US GAAP Financial Statements for all legal entities in Colombia and Venezuela
Quarterly review of financial statements and variance analysis, providing narratives and ensuring active follow-up if needed, supporting shared services on the monthly reporting.
Responsible for interacting as needed or required by the OU with other areas, as such Accounting Research, Corporate Taxes, Corporate Treasury, RTR, Controller’s Group.
Support other areas relative to company accounting issues to ensure the correct application of corporate and legal requirements.
Evaluate Accounting implications of new projects or regulatory changes
Ensure compliance with local financial-legal requirements and other local/ secretarial requirements
Tax assessment
Prepare and file timely and accurate tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory filings.
Proactively work with the LE Controller and Corporate taxes to mitigate all tax risks and resolve indirect tax issues affecting the system
Plan and organize with Tax Area all accounting information, deadlines and responsibilities to properly deliver Tax Inspections requirements in a timely basis.
Provide tax support to OU in special projects
In liaison with the LE Controller, Finance, Corporate taxes and Counsel, engage tax advisers to coordinate responses to tax audits and queries made by Tax Authorities within timelines agreed with or demanded by tax authorities
Recovery de Income Tax Credits of the Company of the net income of the year. In charge of prepare all the documentation request by the Tax Authority - DIAN.
ESG Regulations
Partners with the Global Record to Report Regional Sustainability Reporting Directors to manage the metrics process for their respective legal entities for mandatory statutory reporting in compliance with all sustainability directives and requirements from different regulatory bodies globally (i.e., SEC, CSRD, ISSB, MCD, TCFD, California, etc.). Sustainability requirements typically encompass the enterprise’s and for some jurisdictions its value chain’s material impacts, financial risks and opportunities, strategy, policies, actions, metrics, and targets related to environmental, social, and governance matters as defined by the regulatory standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with CPI/CPA.
5+ years of professional experience in similar positions, with experience in Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, and SAP S/4HANA.
Intermediate English required.
Advanced critical thinking, business knowledge, and problem-solving skills, with experience working with external auditors, third-party vendors.
Strong understanding of GAAP and working knowledge of internal control principles.
Knowledge of local accounting and tax legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Power BI & Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines.
