Tax & Accounting Specialist
Job Description A client in the NYC area is seeking an Accounting & Tax Specialist/Manager. This person will assume responsibility for managing the client's Americas operational and tax results reporting in the United States and Canada. This role will also contribute to tax compliance and research initiatives. The position requires frequent collaboration with finance, purchasing, and other business units and Senior Management in the North America region as well as Headquarters in Korea. Responsibilities: Establish and develop corporate accounting and tax policies, procedures, including the review and implementation of process and system changes Manage monthly financial close process, ensuring all incurred costs are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, reconciling account balances, and preparing reports. Ensure all accounting transactions are accurately booked and reported in a timely manner. Coordinate audits reviews conducted by external auditors and internal SOX compliance Collaborate with a tax agent to prepare and file corporate income tax, sales tax, and other necessary tax forms in accordance with applicable tax laws and regulations Support Business Management team with in-depth analysis: perform or manage ad-hoc reporting and analysis as assigned Breakdown of day-to-day: 40% - Invoice Inspection: Next Purchasing System 15% - Tax Review (Sales Tax) 15% - Project P&L Monitoring 15% - Account Reconciliation for closing 15% - Internal Control Follow up We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
