Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.• 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Preparation and review of local corporate tax returns and related work papers. Preparation and review of extensions, quarterly estimated tax calculations, annual reports, and other necessary requirements;Demonstrate strong business acumen to communicate effectively with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), manage tax incentives, and possess the ability to handle anticipated audits related to such incentives.Possess advanced knowledge of Singapore GST returns and demonstrate leadership to independently manage ASK audits for MES Renewal.Perform tax research and prepare technical memos to document findings related to local tax issuesAccounting for Income Taxes - assist with the preparation of supporting schedules used in the interim and year-end income tax provision for the US consolidated group;Assist with internal compliance and local tax audits by gathering supporting documentation, performing tax analysis on related issues, and communicating with audit lead;Partner with various business units to understand issues facing the business and provide guidance on tax-related issues;Contribute to an environment of continuous process improvement by proactively identifying opportunities for efficiencies, developing creative solutions, and executing on implementation to realize the desired results;Prepare statistics reports, if anyEstablish relationships with key local stakeholders in a designated countryEXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting;5+ years working experience on tax role in MNC or Big 4;Fluent at English writing and speaking;Hands-on tax filing, familiar with tax filing system;Familiar with Oracle and SAP, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office tools;Singapore CPA or AICPA and other professional certificates as a plus;TP experience as a plus;REQUIRED SKILLS:Strong communication skillsAdvanced understanding of financial reporting, tax regulation, and/or law in Singapore (e.g. Local regulatory requirements, Tax law, US GAAP and/or IFRS and others)Excellent processing and transactional skills with an eye for detail and accuracyStrong organizational skills with the ability to work on projects simultaneouslyAbility to collaborate extensively with external accounting service providers and tax auditorsProficient knowledge in basic application programs (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
