As a Tax Analyst in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will gain exposure to tax accounting and compliance assignments from a US federal, state, and local tax perspective. You will become knowledgeable of the components and calculations of the effective tax rate and deferred taxes pursuant to ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109). You will also familiarize yourself with the federal, state, and local corporate income tax filings for the firm.
Job Responsibilities:
Computing current and deferred tax provisions and liabilities on previously identified book-tax differences. Analyzing new transactions to determine potential book-tax differences and other related tax accounting treatments. Monitoring new accounting policies and pronouncements to determine the proper tax treatment of emerging issues. Assisting in the preparation of separate entity annual report tax footnotes as applicable. Preparing federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns for a variety of firm entities, including gathering and analyzing financial information to properly determine the impact on such tax returns. Documenting all tax return support in Corporate Tax’s workflow database. Conducting ad hoc tax research related to various tax return positions.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelors degree in Accounting 1+ years of relevant tax accounting and compliance experience Self-starter who also possesses excellent communication, organizational and attention to details skillsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Ability to effectively use various programs such as Microsoft Office, Access, and SAP is a plus Knowledge of Onesource RS tax compliance software is a plus and preferred An MBA with emphasis in tax, or an MST and/ or a CPA license is a plus
