Tax Analyst
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity in the machinery manufacturing industry, based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The role is for a Tax Analyst who will primarily be responsible for auditing payroll, supporting tax issues, and assisting with various projects. Responsibilities: • Work closely with the Accounting team to address and resolve tax-related issues. • Conduct thorough audits primarily focusing on payroll and compliance. • Ensure that all necessary sign-offs have been obtained for payroll processes. • Prepare weekly reports on audit findings for Canada and the United States. • Collaborate with KPMG to provide audit details on an annual basis. • Aid in the implementation of Workday Payroll & Benefits system, expected to go live in April 2026. • Utilize systems such as Workday, ADP, UKG Workforce, and UltiPro efficiently. • Investigate and provide support for audit and compliance issues. • Work closely with IT support for system-related issues. • Maintain accurate customer credit records and process credit applications. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required • Experience with BlackLine software is desirable • Knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax is beneficial • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary • Proven experience in Auditing is a must • Ability to ensure Compliance with relevant laws and regulations • Exceptional Customer Service skills are required • Ability to manage Documentation effectively • Experience in Payroll Tax Reporting is necessary • Proficiency in preparing Payroll Tax Returns is expected • Understanding of Payroll Taxes is required • Familiarity with Local Payroll Tax is a plus • Experience with Payroll Tax Deposits is desirable • Knowledge of Audit - Information Systems is beneficial • Audit Compliance capabilities are needed • Ability to address Audit Findings effectively is critical.
