Your mission, roles and responsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
As a Tax Analyst at Forvia, you'll be exposed to a wide range of tax matters, including accounting, compliance, forecasting, and tax planning across U.S. federal, international, state, and local taxes. • Preparing U.S. federal, international, and state & local corporate income tax returns and workpapers
• Assisting with monthly U.S. tax provisions for federal, international, and state taxes
• Supporting tax calculations for U.S. federal and state extensions and quarterly estimated payments
• Forecasting U.S. tax liabilities at both federal and state levels
• Handling property tax filings and payment processing
• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax filings
• Assisting with job tax credit applications and incentive filings
• Maintaining the U.S. tax calendar and ensuring compliance deadlines are met
• Responding to tax notices from government agencies
• Supporting audits for federal, state, and local taxes
• Conducting tax research and tax planning to support decision-making
• Supporting the development of tax technology tools and process improvements
• Participating in special projects to enhance our tax reporting function
To thrive in this role, you should have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of tax experience, with a focus on U.S. corporate compliance and reporting
• Experience in a multi-national corporation or public accounting
• Knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax, sales & use tax, and property tax
• Experience with IFRS accounting principles (preferred)
• CPA or advanced degree (preferred)
Key Skills and Competencies
We’re looking for a detail-oriented team player with strong skills in:
• Multitasking and meeting tight deadlines
• Effective communication (both verbal and written)
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
• Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• SAP, Hyperion, or similar reporting systems experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax (preferred)
• A commitment to the highest ethical standards and Forvia's Code of Ethics
